The JJ Hospital Dept of Ophthalmology is one of the Oldest Teaching Departments of Ophthalmology in the city of Mumbai.

It is headed by Professor Dr. Ragini Parekh, who along with her mentor and predecessor, PadmaShri Professor Dr. T P Lahane has welded it into one of the most modern, and sophisticated departments of Ophthalmology in Mumbai.

Dr T P Lahane who is now the Dean of The JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College has maintained a working association with the Department, where he still spends 5-6 hours every day.
